Home-Based Care (Preventative Aftercare)
Our statewide Preventative Aftercare program provides in-home, community-based services with the clear mission to keep youth and families together. Services are designed to prevent youth from being removed from their homes and family and to reduce the length of placement by facilitating transition to home. This is accomplished by our Family Service Providers who offer structure, support, supervision, and interventions within the family, school, and community setting.
Therapeutic Supervised Visitation
Supervised Visitation and Therapeutic Supervised Visitation services are designed to observe and monitor the interactions between a child and his/her non-residential parent(s) during that parent’s court-designated parenting time. Both services involve a trained CBR YouthConnect staff member who objectively observes parent-child interactions in a department approved controlled or community based-setting. The visitation supervisor ensures that the guidelines set by the Court or referral agency are followed, and submits progress reports and recommendations to the referral source as required.
Family Resilience Training
Child welfare families need hope and resilience. CBR’s Family Resiliency Training addresses these needs. It is a social/emotional learning program designed to inspire and prepare youth and families to navigate one of the most important steps in life: deciding what kind of person/family they want to be. Youth and families acquire social/emotional skills needed to buffer the risk factors in their lives and gain confidence to keep trying when life knocks you down.
